Moving metadata: batch ingesting from Sirsi WorkFlows to the DSpace workspace

This presentation describes the author’s efforts to transfer the metadata in cataloguing system (Sirsi WorkFlows) to DSpace by re-purposing existing open source resources including File_MARC, MARC4j, and SWORDAPP v2 PHP client library. The final product provides a method of metadata transfer from Sirsi Workflows to DSpace which uses an alternative means of depositing items into the DSpace workspace.
